We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Trainee/Commis Chef. This is a perfect opportunity for someone with a passion for food to start their career in a professional kitchen. No prior professional experience is required, ( with experience is advantage and preferred ) as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Prep Support: Assist senior chefs with basic food preparation (chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, etc.).
Station Maintenance: Ensure your designated work area is clean and organized at all times.
Hygiene Compliance: Adhere to all food safety and health & safety regulations.
Speed & Efficiency: Assist in plating and service during busy periods to ensure timely delivery of meals.
Requirements:
Attitude: A genuine passion for cooking and a willingness to learn.
Punctuality: Reliability is crucial; you must be able to handle early or late shifts, weekends and bank holidays
Teamwork: Ability to communicate clearly and work well with others under pressure.
Education: A basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 1 or 2) is a plus, but we can help you obtain this.
