I hope you are all doing well.

Our summer party is just over a week away and we are doing one last call to see if anyone is able to donate any raffle prizes at all?

It would be very much appreciated, all funds from the raffle will be going direct to the residents amenity funds, which helps to enrich the lives of our residents whilst they are with us.

🍫 World Chocolate day 😋

Today marks world Chocolate day, this day marks when Chocolate was first introduced to Europe in 1550!

To celebrate this we made some delicious cherry and chocolate cupcakes with a whipped Chocolate ganache.

We then handed these out to all the staff on shift this afternoon as a little thank you for all their hard work every day, but especially in the heat.

This is a reminder to please let us know by monday 6th July if you wish to attend our summer party.

What a difference 4 days make!

We planted these Dianthus on Thursday and this was it on the Monday.

We are all looking forward to seeing how beautiful all the pots and baskets will look like in the next few weeks.

Our pond area is proving very popular with the dragonflies this year.

Whilst our activity coordinator was watering the pond area plants this morning she noticed quite a few flying around our pond plants.

We have even spotted some dragonfly exuvia, which is the cast off skin from a dragonfly nymph after transformation into an adult dragonfly. By the size of this it would of been one very large dragonfly!

Its lovely to stand and watch from the pond area patio and see them all flying around.
