🎄 Can You Help Keep West Kirby's Christmas Lights Shining? 🎄
For many years, West Kirby has been lucky to have a dedicated team of volunteers who have worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to organise our much-loved Christmas lights display.
Following a number of retirements and resignations over the last couple of years, the current committee no longer has enough volunteers to continue. The existing committee has therefore taken the difficult decision to step down.
The good news is that this doesn't have to be the end of West Kirby's Christmas lights.
The current committee has built up years of experience, has a proven fundraising model that successfully raises the money needed each year, and can pass on all of the materials, contacts and knowledge to a new team. They have also kindly offered to provide advice and support to help new volunteers get started.
If you've ever thought about getting more involved in the community, this is a fantastic opportunity to help preserve one of West Kirby's favourite Christmas traditions.

Still the coolest place to play in this heatwave ✌🏼☀️
You guys have been keeping us busy in this heatwave so far this week 😎☀️
We have our outdoor play and seating available if there is a need to wait for a table, as usual it’s best to call in advance to reserve a space but walk ins have been getting tables either straight away or within the half hour or arriving.
Our air con is on all day, the ice drinks are flying out and the little people are all loving the ice creams and ice lollies.
Rach & Beth are in Wednesday and then Laura and Rach are in Thursday 💕 Don’t forget that we also have our free baby stay and play on Thursday morning in the community room ran by the Family Hubs… no need to book just turn up ☺️

Coolest place to hang out and play on the Wirral today??
Of course it’s Cub & Calf in West Kirby!
Park down by the beach, take a little stroll early on and then come and cool down with us 😎🪭
The air con is on, the kids will be comfortable and happy and we even have SENDLO in our community room between 12.30pm and 2.30pm today to talk all things SEND and what’s on offer in our local area
The phone opens at 9am for bookings and walk ins are welcome 🐅🦒
