🌟📚 BOOK SWAP 📚🌟

Yep - cos we’re not just “any old pub” ya know!!

This lil book swap of ours has been going nearly two years and it’s amazing to see how it’s grown, how it changes due to regular swaps by people visiting.
You’ll find this little beaut in the “snug” towards the garden at the back of the pub.
On your way, check out some of the photos on the wall. A lot of them are from when this cracking pub was the tap house for the legendary brewery, King and Barnes 😍😍

So why not schedule in some ‘You Time’ this month. Grab yourself a bag of chips from the chippy next door, add your tipple of choice from the bar here, choose a book and chill out in our beautiful courtyard garden for an hour or two.

Why? Because life is busy and you’re worth it ❤️

⭐️🤩🌟 AWARD WINNING PUB 🌟🤩⭐️

Yep - that’s right. Yet another fabulous award for us as your local, community pub 🥰🥰

We recently won the Leonard Crosbie Award for our service to our community and we couldn’t be any more thrilled to receive this if we tried!!

This lil pub of ours means so much to so many people. It’s the community’s living room and being a true freehouse, it will continue to remain a happy, safe hub for many many years to come.
Well, it would be a shame to change a 359 year old habit, eh!!

⭐️🌟 SUMMER REDEC 🌟⭐️

What does a pub landlady do on a Thursday night?
- Probably goes to bed once the pub shuts.

What does OUR pub landlady do on a Thursday night?
- Pulls an all nighter and redecorates the pub..obviously 🤣

We are just OBSESSED with our new pub artwork!!! They are prints of a local artists work, all drawn in pencil with such incredible detail and features some proper legends 😳😍

As a true freehouse, we LOVE keeping it local! These prints were drawn by one of our locals (John Marshall) just down the road in Slinfold and are the perfect fit for our gorgeous lil pub!

There’s also a few changes elsewhere dotted in and around the pub, including one of our regular customers old band vinyls…THE HOTKNIVES 😍🔥

DID YOU KNOW…that you can bring your own food into the Kings?!
Yep - that’s right, since we closed our kitchen last year, you can bring any takeaway of your choice in, order something in to be delivered or even bring a picnic from home!

I mean, why wouldn’t we? We’re surrounded on a street of fabulous takeaways (including our lovely friends at Mr Chips!)
We’ll even supply cutlery, plates and napkins for ya 😎✌️

So whether you’re grabbing a cheeky battered sausage as some tasty hot snack on your way home from work, or tucking into a bargain bucket for one (we ain’t here to judge!) enjoy it here with a pint of the good stuff!

Although we madly miss our incredible home cooked roasts and pub classics, this works for us and seems to be working for you too ❤️

In the UK, you pay one of the highest VAT rates in Europe. 20% extra in VAT for your meal out or stay away. In France, Spain and Italy, it's 10%. In Germany? 7%.

Our message to Government is simple. Let's stand together to say VAT at 10% is fair for hospitality.

🎄❤️🎅 MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅❤️🎄

Yes. You read that right!

We FINALLY managed to have our Christmas staff party last night (better late than never!) and although sadly a few of the team couldn’t make it, the rest had an absolute blast!!!!!!

We took a party bus down to Brighton to see the LADYBOYS OF BANGKOK show and it was every little bit incredible ❤️

So please go easy on my staff today 🤣🤣

😍❤️ WHAT A DAY ❤️😍

WOW! Thank you thank you THANK YOU all so so much for coming and celebrating my 5th anniversary with me here at The Kings Arms yesterday!

It was just the most perfect day, with the amazing playing the roof off, the sun shining and a garden packed full of beautiful, lovely people.

I’m the luckiest landlady in the whole world.

Thank you so much for the best 5 years. You all make this place such a special, happy place to be and like I said yesterday…

BRING ON THE NEXT 50, COS I AINT GOING NOWHERE!!
