Santa’s Grotto & Festive Workshop is returning to The Bax Castle this Christmas!

After welcoming so many children to our grotto last year, we’re delighted to announce that Father Christmas and his elves will be returning to The Bax Castle this December — and this year we’re making the experience even bigger and better.

Every child will be invited into our festive workshop, where they can make and decorate their own special card for Santa before heading into his cosy Christmas living room for a private family visit.

There’ll be time to have a chat with Santa, take your own family photos and of course, every child will receive a wrapped Christmas present from Santa himself.

The Christmas fun then continues with our elves, making magical reindeer food ready to sprinkle outside on Christmas Eve and decorating a festive cookie to enjoy or take home.

Arrival slots available between 12pm–4pm

£18.95 per child – accompanying adults are free

Once booked, we’ll also send you a special letter from Santa to share with your child before their visit and start the Christmas magic early.

Our naughty little ducks have been causing trouble all summer… sneaking off and hiding themselves around The Bax Castle

Every day throughout the summer holidays, our duck hunt is on for the kids:

Hunt around the pub and gardens to find one of our missing ducks
Bring it back safely to the duck pond and claim a free ice cream

But there’s a twist…

Each day, one extra-special duck is hiding somewhere. Find that one and you get to keep the duck and still enjoy your free ice cream

It’s been brilliant seeing so many little duck hunters joining in over the holidays — and those naughty ducks just keep escaping again the next day

Our bouncy castles are up all day, everyday (weather permitting) and the best part? They're completely FREE! We know how expensive the holidays can be, so we've made sure there's plenty of free fun for the little ones while you dine with us.

After a quieter visit for your little ones? Weekdays are usually a little calmer, giving children of all ages and abilities more space to bounce and play.

Our kitchen is open daily, serving delicious food, and our bar is stocked with plenty of refreshing drinks to keep everyone happy.
