Named Pub & Bar Magazine Best Pub in Hertfordshire & the East of |England in 2019. The White Hart dates back to 1681 and it was Welwyn's main coaching inn. It was a popular overnight stop for travellers going north from London and at one point it offered fourteen beds for
humans and stabling for thirty four horses. It was also home to the village courtroom, where petty sessions were held, when mis

demeanours may have included theft and assault and, ironically,
drunkenness. For lunch & dinner the restaurant offers an A la Carte menu as well as a bar snack & sharers menu. The bar is open all day where you can pop in for a pint of real ale or have cocktails & G&T's before
your meal. The extensive wine list consists of wines carefully selected by one of the brothers James who enjoys nothing more than recommending & discussing wine. The kitchen uses quality ingredients that are the drive for delicious, well thought out & creative dishes.

If you’ve never tried this menu before, you’re missing out on brilliant quality dishes, made with the best produce, skilfully cooked by our chefs - all for great value at around £20 per person.

Our set menu is available from Wednesday evening until Friday early evening (6:30) every week 🍴

We are VERY excited to announce that K Pop star Rumi will be joining us on Friday 31st July to kick start the summer holidays! 💜

Let your little ones sing & dance along to the films iconic hits & enjoy some pop demon inspired games & activities. We encourage children to dress up as their favourite character - are you more of a Rumi, Mira or Zoey? Our Tipi food truck will be open, so whilst they’re entertained, why not relax & enjoy an uninterrupted catch up with friends?

For our next Summer fundraising challenge we are putting your beer counting skills to the test! 🍺

This one is simple - pay £1 to guess how many pints (of water) are in the barrel - answers announced on Mondays, correct answers get a free pint.

Proceeds from this challenge will go to Tenterfield Nursery School to go towards a new sensory garden in honour of a much missed staff member 🌟

Have you heard about The Tilbury Tipi Kid’s Table? 🖍️

The Kid’s Tables will be on hand every Sunday, 12-4pm to host supervised crafts, activities & games, making sure your littl’uns are entertained in between courses.

The Tilbury food truck shall be open delivering their signature BBQ plates, tantalizing burgers plus the new summer garden roast & returning Yorkie burger! It’s a Sunday lunch out that guarantees the whole family is happy.

This is a free service, exclusively for Tipi customers. Min age 3 years. Bookings for the Tipi Sunday can be made via thetilbury.co.uk. Please add to your booking notes The Kids’ Tables & how many joiners.
