🎃💡 SOMETHING BIG IS COMING THIS HALLOWEEN… 💡🎃

We’ve teamed up with the amazing Ireland Way Light Show 🙌

If you’ve seen the incredible displays they put on for Halloween and Christmas, you’ll already know just how good they are. If you haven’t… you seriously need to check this out! 👀

And this year they’re going BIGGER AND BETTER! 🔥

🎃 The big light reveal is 17th October — and then leading to the big night there will be shows on the 18th, 23rd, 30th

Then on Halloween itself, 31st October, there’ll be plenty going on for the kids, including treat bags, popcorn and candy floss 🍿🍭

Plus be prepared live actors will be amongst us 👻

There’s no big price tag — all they ask is for a donation if you’re able to give one, because this year we’re coming together to raise money for the incredible men’s mental health charity Andy’s Man Club ❤️

So PLEASE spread the word, tag your mates, bring the kids, friends and family and let’s turn this into a proper community event while raising money for an amazing cause. 🙌

A husband can lie beside his wife.
A mum can cuddle her child.
Two people can be close, right until the very end. ❤️

That’s what every single person taking on The Beast is helping us raise money for.

That’s why a cuddle bed at Rowans Hospice is so important. It gives families the chance to be right beside their loved one during those precious final days and hours. ❤️

And THAT is why everyone who takes on THE BEAST is a winner in our eyes.

🚂 JUSTIN THE TRAIN-SPOTTING TROLL — FINAL EPISODE 🚂

Well people… we got the apology.

And as we said from the beginning — you apologise, we stop. We’re people of our word.

Was it the greatest apology we’ve ever received? Probably not 😂 Especially considering some of the disgusting names thrown at us and the threats of violence.

But an apology is an apology.

Apology accepted. Line drawn. We move on. 🤝

But before we finish this story, we want to say something serious.

This might have been banter for us. Online bullying isn’t banter for everyone.

99.9% of you understand why we fight back, but occasionally someone will say:

“Why don’t you just ignore them and let them move on?”

But move on to WHO?

The next business owner?
The next mum or dad?
The next teenager or child?
Someone who might already be struggling behind closed doors?

You never truly know what somebody is going through when they put their phone down.

Our way of dealing with trolls won’t be everybody’s cup of tea. We use humour, we have a bit of banter and sometimes we give people a taste of their own medicine.

But underneath all the jokes, there’s a serious reason why we refuse to pretend this behaviour is acceptable.

❤️ ONLINE BULLYING IS NOT OK. ❤️

Words can hurt. Words can stay with people. And the person you’re typing them to might not be as thick-skinned as you think.

So Justin, your apology is accepted and this is where your story ends. 🚂🤝

Imagine being a child knowing these could be the last few moments you ever get with your mum.

You don’t want to sit in a chair beside her bed. You just want to climb in beside her, cuddle up like you’ve done a thousand times before, hold her hand and be close to her for as long as you possibly can. ❤️

That’s what a cuddle bed can give families at Rowans Hospice — precious moments together when they matter more than anything.

And THAT is why we’ve been doing all of this. ❤️

🥪 NOW BACK TO THE BEAST…

Another challenger stepped up yesterday… and unfortunately it was the same result! 😂

In fact, every challenger yesterday was beaten by The Beast, which means our leaderboards stay exactly as they are for the fastest man, lady and kid! 🏆

But there’s not long left…

⏳ THE CHALLENGE FINISHES THIS WEEK!

And we know what normally happens… everyone leaves it until the last minute and then suddenly they all want that top spot! 😂
