If you’ve been with us from the start of our story, you may have read about our Leo.

He truly is a remarkable little boy who has touched the hearts of many throughout his nearly two years of life.

If you don’t know, Leo is our little heart warrior. He was born with a congenital heart defect which has kept the surgeons, doctors and nurses at Southampton General on their toes!

As we approach a year since Leo’s last surgeries, we thought it would be lovely to celebrate how far he has come by hosting his own fun day across both of our settings.

His parents, Liam & Sophie are taking on the Great /South Run on October 18th and are raising money for Friends Of Picu who do amazing work for the unit.

Every single penny raised from the day, including ticket sales and cafe sales will go towards our fundraiser for the run.

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ WE’RE RUNNING THE GREAT SOUTH RUN FOR FRIENDS OF PICU! ❤️

Myself, Sophie and Sammy are taking on the Great South Run to raise vital funds for Friends of PICU, the charity supporting the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Southampton General Hospital.

This charity means an incredible amount to our family. The team at Southampton General played a massive part in getting Leo to where he is today. During one of the most frightening and difficult times of our lives, they were there for Leo and for us, and we will be forever grateful for everything they did. 🦁❤️

Friends of PICU help support children and families during some of the most difficult moments imaginable, providing vital support to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and the families who find themselves there.
Now we want to give something back.

We’re hoping to raise as much as we possibly can to help this incredible charity continue supporting other families when they need it most.
