🌵 And something for our little sailors too!

Just a reminder that our Country Fest this Saturday 17th October at Boat & Bean is a family event, with plenty of fun for the little ones!

The lovely Sarah Jayne will be joining us with some fantastic cactus crafts for the children to get creative with, along with some very special Country Fest face painting!

So while the grown-ups are testing their rodeo skills on the Buckin' Bronco, our younger cowboys and cowgirls can get into the country spirit too! 🤠

We can't wait to see everyone on Saturday 17th October from 2pm!

Our Buckin' Bronco sign-up board is officially open at Boat & Bean, and we're waiting for your names and you can sign up from today!

And YES… for those who've been asking, it's completely FREE to enter!

Think you've got what it takes to stay on the longest? The rider who manages to hold on the longest will be crowned our Boat & Bean Rodeo Champion and win brunch and breakfast cocktails for TWO! 🥂

Cowboy hats at the ready, boots dusted off and get practising those dance moves… we're bringing a little bit of the Wild West to Wateringbury this Saturday, 17th October!

👢 From midday, the fabulous Sarah Jayne Project will be getting everyone into the country spirit!

Expect plenty of country favourites, music, laughter and LINE DANCING!

Whether you're a seasoned line dancer or have two left feet, it doesn't matter! Sarah Jayne will be getting everyone involved, so grab your friends, get dressed up and come and have a go!

And there's plenty more happening throughout the day…

🐂 From 2pm – Bucking Bronco Challenge! Think you can stay in the saddle? Our Rodeo Champion wins a VIP brunch for two!

🎨 Face painting, horseshoes and family fun.

Welcome back, Chef Grace!

After a well-earned holiday, Chef Grace popped in yesterday and Daisy had a little surprise waiting for her… her newly revamped kitchen!

We’ve been busy making some changes while she’s been away, including more prep space to help make service smoother and, much to Grace’s delight, we’ve moved the bar forward so the draught pumps are finally out of her way!

Safe to say, she was pretty pleased with the changes.

It’s lovely to have you back, Grace. You’ve definitely been missed — and we can’t wait to see you getting stuck into your new-look kitchen.

A very Happy Birthday to the lovely Margaret!

Many of you will already know Margaret, who still lives here at Boat & Bean and remains very much a part of everything that happens here.

Long before Boat & Bean, Margaret and her much-loved late husband David successfully ran The Riverside Restaurant from here — a place we’re sure many of you will remember very fondly.

We feel incredibly lucky that Margaret is still part of life here, sharing the history, stories and memories of this special little spot beside the river as its next chapter continues.

Please join us in wishing Margaret a very Happy Birthday and a wonderful day.
