🚨 Long-awaited update alert! ✈️💚
Hi guys! I feel like I haven’t given you a proper update for a little while… and that’s because we’ve been busy behind the scenes making it all happen! 👀
So today we’re officially kicking off our 10-day countdown to Gonk Immigration Day, and over the next 10 days I’ll be revealing all the exciting things we’ve got planned, one surprise at a time! 🎉
First up… Café de Nissé! ☕🇳🇴
Some of you might remember that last year I was trying to create Café de Nissé. If you know what Nisse is, you’ll know exactly why. If you don’t, Nisse is the traditional Scandinavian Christmas gnome that inspired the Gonks we all know and love today. 🇳🇴💚
The café never actually happened, but I did get the cups made, the bags and the napkins… and now I’ve got some exciting news!
I’m so excited to say that Krapow Thai Restaurant is joining us for Gonk Immigration Day and will be bringing Café de Nissé to life in the Gonk Airways Lounge! ✈️☕
Café de Nissé will be a takeaway café, so you can grab your favourite drink and a tasty treat, then relax and enjoy them in the Gonk Airways Lounge while you wait for your flight into Gonk World. 💚
So, if you’re planning to come early, we’ve got you covered! We know many of you will be arriving before the event starts at 10am to join the queue.
☕ From 8am, Krapow Thai Restaurant
will be serving hot and cold drinks, along with a selection of cakes, sandwiches and other tasty treats.
✈️ Just a little note… the Gonk Airways Lounge isn’t an all-inclusive holiday! 😂 Please remember to bring a few Gonk pennies, as all drinks, cakes, sandwiches and mocktails will be available to purchase from Krapow Thai Restaurant. By grabbing a coffee or a bite to eat, you’ll also be supporting another fantastic local business at The Hive. 💚
🕵️ Passenger Challenge!
Before you finish your drink, inspect your Café de Nissé cup carefully… 👀 Hidden amongst the flowers are tiny little Gonks waiting to be discovered! 💚
If you spot them, snap a photo of your cup and share it on social media. Don’t forget to tag Gonk World and Krapow Thai Restaurant so we can see who finds them first! 📸✈️
🍹 Then from 10am, you’ll also be able to enjoy some delicious mocktails while relaxing in the Gonk Airways Lounge. We know it might be a little early for cocktails on a normal day… but this isn’t a normal day! 😉 Consider yourself on holiday while you wait for your flight into Gonk World. ✈️💚
I’m so happy that a little dream from last year is finally coming to life in a different way. Sometimes things don’t happen when you expect them to… they happen when the time is right. 💚

I’ve got plenty more surprises to reveal, with more amazing businesses from The Hive joining us for Gonk Immigration Day. But let’s do one reveal a day, so each business gets its moment in the spotlight and you can plan who you’d like to visit while you’re here. 💚
