Good evening all. It is with great sadness that I have to confirm The C**k and Bottle has now closed its doors for the last time. As most of you know the brewery have put the freehold up for sale. We have worked very closely with Hall and Woodhouse to keep the pub open but this unfortunately, has become untenable.

I have spent over 13 years here and have lots of very fond memories of the pub, firstly with Pat and now with Lindy. During this time I have also made many good friends.

On a positive note, myself and Lindy have taken over the running of the Halfway Inn, Norden, Corfe Castle. Brigette, our head chef has also joined us, and with the existing staff at the Halfway we are confident we can offer the same quality of food and service you have come to expect.

I would like to thank everybody for supporting us over all these years and we look forward to seeing you soon at the Halfway.

As you are aware the Government implemented 'Plan B' yesterday following the increase in the Omicron virus cases. These plans do not have any affect in the hospitality sector and all pubs and restaurants are "open as usual".

Just to put you at ease we are still very focused on keeping our guests and staff as safe as we possibly can. Since the last restrictions were lifted we have still maintained our distancing between table. We have sanitising stations around the restaurant and bar area and all of our staff are encouraged to wear face masks. Every table and all condiments are sanitised after every use.

Since re-opening, although not legally obliged to, I have noticed that the vast majority of our guests still enter and leave the restaurant wearing face masks. This again will be actively encouraged.

By keeping these guidelines in place, hopefully working together we can enjoy the festive season.
