It's almost time for the last Bank Holiday Monday of the year... where did that disappear to? 😳

There's loads going on around the area, but if you'd rather swap the crowds for a chilled-out afternoon with great food, perfectly poured drinks and a relaxing spot to while away the afternoon, we've got you covered.

Even better, we'll be open from 12pm on Bank Holiday Monday, so you can celebrate not needing to make your packed lunch until Tuesday!

Now it’s cooled down enough to take the pups out for a proper walk, why not make The Oak your destination? You can enjoy a well-deserved hydration stop (and maybe even lunch or dinner!) and your four-legged walking companion can tuck into one of these rather lovely delights from Passion for Paws Pet Care.

Bad Monkey Driver are back to blow your Saturday up with a shedload of rock tunes guaranteed to get you jumping up and down, strumming your air guitar and punching your fist in the air like you belong in a music video from back when MTV was actually about music!

Expect big tunes, big energy and only a tiny bit of judgement if your air-guitar solo gets a little too enthusiastic. 😂

Make your way to the Oak for some tasty tacos! Mr Taco will be at the pub from 5pm on Tuesday, serving up delicious Mexican food. We’re talking enchiladas, quesadillas, fajitas and all the other good stuff you'd expect!

Once your appetite is suitably sated, there’s no time for a siesta… because The Quiz kicks off at 7.30pm sharp(ish) 😂

So get your bums on seats by 7.15pm and prepare yourselves for the all-important team-name dilemma......

Remember: it needs to be completely politically correct, utterly inoffensive and in no way embarrassing for Andy to read out loud.

It's almost time for the August edition of Bikes @ The Oak! 🏍️

Join us next Thursday as we celebrate all things two wheels. Whether you're a rider, an admirer, or just fancy an excuse to spend a summer evening in good company, roll on down and enjoy a sunset in the beer garden.

Feeling peckish? The kitchen will be serving until 8.30pm, so you can grab a bite while soaking up the atmosphere.
