100 years of British Grand Prix heritage. 🏁🇬🇧

What a weekend for Vanilla Bean Events — celebrating a century of the British Grand Prix with a spectacular heritage racing showcase, welcoming over 8,000 spectators and motorsport enthusiasts.

Our brief? To deliver hospitality in true British style: 800 VIP guests on Friday, followed by 300 drivers and their families on Saturday.

The culinary theme was simple: British classics, locally sourced produce, and a touch of motorsport imagination.

🏁 Canapés to get us off the grid included
• Smoky Stirling Moss — Grimsby smoked haddock cakes
• The 1926 Grand Prix — our take on the classic roast beef dinner, reimagined as a canapé

🏁 Bowl food in the fast lane included
• Racing Green — charred courgette, lemon, whipped Somerset goat’s curd, roasted hazelnut & basil

And as we crossed the finish line…

The VB Hugo Spritz (with English Sparkling Wine)

Ingredients

* 100 mL chilled English sparkling wine (Brut works best)
* 20 mL St-Germain elderflower liqueur
* 20–30 mL chilled premium soda water
* 5–6 fresh mint leaves
* 1 thin slice of lime (or a strip of lemon peel)
* Plenty of large ice cubes

Method

1. Fill a large wine glass with large ice cubes.
2. Lightly clap the mint leaves and add them to the glass.
3. Pour in the St-Germain.
4. Add the English sparkling wine.
5. Top with the soda water.
6. Stir gently just once.
