Dear faithful customers and friends, of our restaurant

From the Trustees of The Vine Trust Group

We wish all the restaurants re-opening all the best, but our own approach in this pandemic, has, and is going to be more cautious. Vines restaurant will not be open for business as usual, and the Trustees don’t envisage that our restaurant, on commercial , and public health grounds, can be open before the before the start of next year.

Hospitality is a famously tough and resolute industry, and we’ve been at it for 30 years, operating not as a purely commercial venture, but as a meeting place for the community, as well as a training ground for young people. Covid, despite our tenacious resolve, has made this endeavour near impossible, hence the decision.

We know some people will find this news disappointing, but we must put safety of our staff and customers first, and of course commercial viability, which is significant.

We appreciate your thoughts, support and prayers, particularly for our restaurant staff, where the impact is more material.

Whilst the doors remain closed, we have opened the space, to support, 'rackets cubed’ and their School’s Community boxes scheme for the families effected by Covid.

Dear customers,
Following today’s government directive, advising the public to stay away from pubs and restaurants, we have taken the difficult but necessary decision to suspend our front of house operations. Whilst this will have a significant impact on our day to day business, and staff, the trustees of the charity want to remain responsible in this current national crisis.
We will be reviewing the position as the guidance develops.
We will continue our contract catering and buffets, and ask that you consider us in this current season.

For 30 years, the Vine has been committed to serving its local community, providing spaces for people to meet, eat and flourish.
We appreciate your thoughts and prayers and support in the challenging season.
