If you haven't heard, where have you been? There is a mega heat wave heading our way!! 🫠
So from tomorrow (Tuesday 23rd June) until Saturday (27th June) we are reducing our menu a little bit, so that we don't have to have so many heat producing pieces of equipment on at the same time in the kitchen. We don't have air conditioning and don't currently have the infrastructure to put it in (we are working on that) and we want to do what we can to look after our staff and make sure they are comfortable but also serve our fab customers too.
So there will be no beef burgers, wild boar burgers, steak sandwiches, cheesy chips, soup or pies available during our lunch time service. Our Thursday evening menu of burgers and salads will remain the same as this is already a reduced menu.
I am just going to add not just for us but for all of the catering industry right now, please be nice to our staff over the next few days. It is going to be really hot for them. A lot of us and the rest of the UK is adjusting to these increased temperatures, but a lot of us work in buildings that were not made for air conditioning. We ask you for some grace to allow us to adjust menus or whatever we need to do to make things better for our staff. If you can't get your beef burger this week, you will be OK, our chicken burger is very good too, you will like it.
