Subject: Incident Report – Suspected Dine and Dash

Date: 04/09
Time: Approximately 10:15 pm

Two young couples visited the restaurant and had a meal together. After finishing their meal, the two female customers left the restaurant while the two male customers remained at the table and asked for the bill.

The two male customers then brought the bill to the counter and attempted to make payment using their mobile phones. They tried several times, but the payment transaction did not go through.

They then asked whether they could leave the restaurant to obtain cash to pay the bill. Given the circumstances, we were concerned that they might leave without making payment.

We have CCTV footage and photographs showing the individuals and the incident.

Could you please advise whether it would be possible to share these photographs with other local businesses, or through appropriate business networks, so that other restaurants can be aware of the incident and take appropriate precautions to prevent similar situations from happening again?

We would also appreciate advice on the appropriate and lawful way to share CCTV images, particularly regarding privacy and data protection requirements.

Thank you.
