A quick snippet of the past couple of weeks. There is always plenty going on behind the scenes, mucking out ready for winter, ploughing fields and drilling turnips ready for winter grazing, worming mineral drenching and dagging out ewe lambs, moving sheep onto fresh grazing, feed deliveries and plenty more! We’ve had rain and sunshine which means the grass has finally started to green up and grow!

New lick day! All the ewes, ewe lambs and cattle have had new licks Thursday, as well as their rock salt topped up with fresh pieces. We have always used the buckets but we have now also given the Downland Opti-mol buckets a try. It’s extra important at this time of year for the ewes to have free access to their minerals and vitamins to keep them in top form ready tupping. The more that is put into them now, the better results are seen in spring at lambing time

All deliveries that were due last week, will be delivered this week, this is making us extra busy so there may be some delays, but everyone will have received their eggs this week. We will then be back to normal from next week. Thank you for your continued support and patience!

📣 due to a minor accident this morning and already being a person down this week due to illness, there will be no egg deliveries this week. We apologise for the late notice and inconvenience this will cause, it is not a decision we have come to lightly today.
Any deliveries that were due this week will be delivered next week, anyone who is on weekly subscription, payments will be skipped for next week.
Please bare with us whilst we get sorted out and we will update you and get back to messages ASAP.

Hello and happy Tuesday from these ladies!

It’s still looking like a desert out there, although the small amount of rain we had last week did green up some patches. With a slight fence move over the weekend onto an area that was cut earlier in the year for hay, they have managed to get a bit of fresh grass to eat which they were very happy about!
