🧡🍊 A New Chapter of Clementine 🍊🧡

I’m so happy to finally share that Clementine is staying in the family. Meet my cousin Evie… just looking a few years younger in this photo! Yes, that’s little us🥹

23 year old me started this dream and now 23 year old Evie gets to take it forward, grow it and make it her own 🧡

Saying goodbye after six years is definitely emotional, but knowing it’s going to Evie makes it so much easier. I can’t wait to see all the ideas and little touches she brings to it to make it her own and I know there are so many exciting things to come.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making my dream come true. I’ll never be able to put into words just how much it’s all meant to me.

It’s been a minute👋🏼

So I got real good at disappearing… apart from being caught by a handful of you sneaking into the shop to finish my final cake orders🤭

I took a bit of time to switch off & enjoy summer without having to think about coffee, cake or what I was going to post on Instagram & what a summer it’s been☀️🌊⚓️🐬🌅

I’ve spent it doing everything I love alongside working back at the beach, in my old job, which has been EVERYTHING I needed & more. Lots of sun, sea, familiar faces & a team who feel like family. A little reminder of what life looked like before Clementine.

🍊A little Clementine update…🍊

After 6 amazing years, this Saturday 18th July will be my final day at Clementine🧡

I know that this may feel like very short notice, but it definitely hasn’t been a quick decision for me. I’ve been quietly planning the next chapter since the start of the year.

Lots of you will remember I nearly closed last year. The love & support I received then meant more than you’ll ever know & I’m so grateful I gave it another year but it’s now time.

This little place has been such a huge part of my life & if I’m honest, it’s been my whole personality throughout most of my twenties. I’m so proud of everything it’s given me.

From making celebration cakes for top chefs & celebrities to creating wedding cakes for lots of amazing couples, building a business with the most loyal customers I could ever have wished for to finding staff who have become lifelong friends… it’s been so much more than just a cake shop.

If you have the chance over the next couple of days, I’d absolutely love to see you. Whether it’s for your last school cake, your favourite smoothie bowl or a quick coffee & catch up (still the best coffee in Wadebridge… in my completely unbiased opinion 😉☕️).

Thank you for making the last six years so special, here’s to a Cornish summer & then on to the next adventure✈️🗺️

It’s our lovely Lola’s last day at Clementine today🥺🫶🏼

Lola is truly one of the kindest souls, the sweetest, brightest person who brings so much warmth, happiness & a lot of entertainment everywhere she goes😂 Clementine won’t be the same without her… I know you all agree because some of you have already told her she’s not allowed to leave! 🥺

One of the loveliest things about this little place is how so many of our customers have become real friends over the years, from morning coffees & little chats to our daily “lunch club” with one lovely couple who come in every day for coffee & cake when we eat our lunch🥹 Lola has been such a huge part of those special moments.

If you’re around today, please pop in to say goodbye & help us give her the loveliest last day 🌷☕️
