Let's talk about MND (Motor Neurone Disease) A devastating disease 😢
Sadly, there is currently no cure or treatment for MND. For far too long, it has remained in the background, often thought of as a rare disease that happens to other people.
But perhaps it's not as rare as we think.
There are currently 8 people living with MND in Urmston alone. Eight people. Eight families whose lives have been changed forever 💔
MND is a devastating disease that progressively takes away a person's ability to move, often affecting their speech, and can affect their ability to swallow, among so many other things. It can strip away independence, communication and dignity, while leaving loved ones watching someone they love and deeply care about face unimaginable challenges.
It is truly heartbreaking 💔
That's why one of our lovely regulars- Kev and his friends are taking part in a charity fundraising run — not only to raise vital money for research, and to improve the lives of people living with MND but also to shine a much-needed spotlight on this devastating disease.
Every donation, every share and every conversation helps. Every penny raised brings us another step closer to treatments, and hopefully, one day, a cure.
