🐔💛 Intergenerational Fun at Elderslie! 💛🐔

We had such a lovely visit from the children of Carriagehill Nursery for another wonderful intergenerational session – and this time, our chickens were the stars of the show! 🐔🥚

Our residents and the children worked together to learn all about caring for our feathered friends. We collected fresh eggs, topped up their food and water, learned how to look after them, hand-fed them and even had the chance to give them a gentle pet. 🌾🥚

There were a few nerves to begin with, but it was fantastic to see our residents and the children encouraging one another to be brave. Before long, everyone was getting involved, with lots of smiles, laughter and proud faces! 🥰

These visits are about so much more than an activity. They bring generations together to, learn from one another, build confidence, share experiences and create some very special connections. 💕

A huge thank you to everyone at Carriagehill Nursery for joining us. We absolutely loved having you and can't wait to welcome you back again soon! 🐔❤️

🍝 Benvenuti to our Italian Old Deer Café! 🍅🍨

Our Old Deer Café is open today from 1pm–3pm, and this month we’re bringing a little taste of Italy to Elderslie!

As part of our B Happie initiative, we’re creating more opportunities for our residents, families, friends and community to come together, enjoy good food and spend quality time with one another. 💛

On today’s menu:

🍅 Roasted Tomato & Basil Soup
🍝 Homestyle Lasagne with chunky chips & rocket salad
🍨 Meringue Nest & Ice Cream

☕ Tea, coffee and plenty of friendly faces will be waiting too!
