🍺 Anti-Social is this Thursday.

If you fancy meeting a few new people for a drink, Anti-Social is our very informal after-work get-together.

🎬 On 24 September, we’re screening The People’s Emergency Briefing film at Urban HQ.

It includes footage from the National Emergency Briefing at Westminster and familiar faces including Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden and Jennifer Saunders.

It’s non-party political, evidence-based and supported by organisations including the National Trust, WWF and the Royal Meteorological Society.

It talks about food security, health, economics, national security and nature in the UK and what it could mean for all of us.

🏅 There are many people and achievements we're proud of in Swansea.

Quite a few of them are framed on the wall in the kitchen of our office space at Urban HQ, where all our resident businesses are based.

AND randomly, one of our tenants, Chris Pavett from ClearWay Accounting, had a meeting with someone on our wall...

Natasha Perdue!

🏋️‍♀️Natasha represented Great Britain in weightlifting at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

She now runs The Rocky Road Foundation, a charity supporting athletes' mental wellbeing. They help athletes build resilience and manage the huge pressures of both sport and everyday life.

It was lovely to meet you, Natasha.

Sorry that we (Lucy) got a little over excited! 😄

🌱 What a night!

A little look back at our Vegan Night Market in August, a collaboration with Charlie from Brontosaurus Vegan Lifestyle Store.

Loads of incredible vegan food, brilliant local traders, drinks and a very busy Courtyard Garden.

And a big thank you to Gerwyn for providing the live music on his incredible handpan. 🎶

Thank you to everyone who came along, and to all our traders who made it such a good one.

Ready to do it all again?

🎵 We just couldn't say goodbye to the Summer.

So we are keeping up the festival vibes by extending our Courtyard Sessions for a few more Saturdays.

Live music between 1:30pm - 3pm every Saturday.

Talented musicians playing live whilst you enjoy lunch or a beer.

And we've just booked the brilliant Rory Bridgeman for this Saturday. He's back by popular demand.

Family and dog friendly venue.

🌿 One thing we are super proud of is our outside space.

Hidden away in Swansea City Centre is our giant Courtyard Garden, full of plants, shrubs, herbs and even rain gardens.

It often surprises people when they find it as you really don't expect this much space right in the middle of the City.

It's a lovely spot to escape for a bit, get some lunch, meet a friend, have a coffee or just sit outside while the weather is fair.

We're hoping the sun lets us make use of it for a while longer (famous last words).

But, just in case, we have loads of space inside too!

We’re looking for a kitchen assistant / assistant chef (and some front of house) to join our lovely team at Urban HQ.

13+ hours per week, working Mondays and Saturdays, with the potential for more front of house hours during the week and some evening event work.

£13.45 per hour starting rate
Mainly daytime hours
Discounted food
Week off at Christmas
Closed most bank holidays
Pension

You’ll work closely with our Head Chef, helping to prepare dishes, keep the kitchen running smoothly and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

We’re looking for someone friendly, reliable, good with people and happy to get stuck in. Front of house experience is useful too, but training and support will be provided.
