Reflecting back on this year, 2020 has definitely been a rollercoaster ride for many but a learning curve as well to take things slow. To explore the creative inner YOU.
Before the year ends I want to share with you the real push for starting Pretty Baker. Five years back I lost a very loved person to Cancer. The very person who used to encourage me and give critical feedback on my "basic" cakes was now not there. I struggled to see the brightside of life and lost all the excitement I had for anything life brought for me. By this point I stopped baking as there was no joy to be found that I could share.
Three years later, I recieved a request to bake a cake. This Aunt who had placed the order encouraged me constantly to get started. I pondered on this thought as I was trying to understand the meaning of my life. All I could think of was my brother's words of "Di! Never give up and keep going". Like I do with anything in my life. I decided to take the plunge and took Pretty Baker to the world๐ I believe what kept me going was my inner need to keep the creative spark going.
So, as we start into this New Year I'm deciding on a New plunge for 2021. I will be looking to support a charity with all the orders I receive. I will be giving half of what I earn from every order to a charity at the end of 2021. In the mid of 2021 I will once again share which charity I will be supporting. Please do share your suggestions with me and I will do my best to look into it.
If there was anything I learnt from my brother, the Aunt who kept encouraging me and my loving customers is "selfless sharing". 2021 and the coming years need more of that. Once again I'm grateful for all the support and love I receiving constanly from my well wishers. Looking forward to the New Year with plenty more cakes to bake. Wishing all of you a Blessed New Year with your loved ones๐๐๐
