Introducing our Monthly Tapas Evenings, taking place on the last Wednesday of every month, starting Wednesday 29th July from 6pm

Join us for an evening inspired by the Spanish coast, with a menu of delicious tapas, authentic sides, homemade sangria, and a handpicked selection of Spanish wines and cocktails.

As you dine, talented flamenco guitarist David Nash will fill the air with beautiful Spanish music. Whether you’re enjoying the sunshine by the river or dining inside by candlelight, it’s the perfect midweek escape

We’ll be revealing the full menu over the next few days and yes, there will be some fantastic offers too!

✨ We highly recommend booking early, as spaces are limited. A £10 per person holding deposit is required when booking. No payment is taken unless you fail to attend your reservation.

Meet Andrew! 🍀

This Sunday marks 2 years since Andrew joined The Lock Keepers. He’s been with us almost from the very beginning, and we honestly couldn’t imagine the place without him

Andrew is one of a kind. Charismatic, kind, and guaranteed to make everyone smile, he’s an absolute joy to work with. He’s full of fascinating facts and stories, so if you’re lucky enough to work a shift with him, you’ll always learn something new ✨

Many of you may have even spotted him along the A40, voluntarily picking up the litter that others have unfortunately left behind. He’s also our go to fixer, a genius with numbers, stylish, a fountain of wisdom, and someone who’s always happy to lend a hand

When he’s not with us, Andrew grows as much of his own food as possible. His son runs a farm, and as a family they truly embrace a farm to fork lifestyle. Pictured here are some of his home grown courgettes, which we’ve proudly been using in this week’s specials: our

Hi everyone! 👋 Brogan & Aleksey here!

Today was the first major day of the A40 roadworks, and if you’ve been anywhere near the area, you’ll have seen just how much disruption they’ve caused.

Unfortunately, we’ve felt it too!

As a family, we’re impacted from every angle. We live in central Gloucester, our daughter goes to nursery in Highnam, and our restaurant is right in the middle of the roadworks 😵 our amazing staff and suppliers are just as effected too 😣

We didn’t know what to expect, but today was tough. The majority of our bookings cancelled, including a large table tomorrow, and we’re expecting more cancellations as the week goes on

Please know we completely understand why people are cancelling. The traffic has been incredibly difficult, and everyone’s just trying to get where they need to be 🍀

We’re staying positive and will be doing everything we can to adapt over the next eight months (😫). We’ll also be looking at ways to make visiting us as easy as possible, so keep an eye on our page for updates

A huge thank you to Over Farm , especially CEO Rees, for all the support. They’ve installed live traffic cameras so you can check the roads before setting off, the link is in our bio and below. If you’re passing by, we’d also love it if you could pop into their café or farm shop. Like many local businesses, they’ll be feeling the impact too and honestly their team is just so lovely!

If you’ve been thinking about visiting us, please don’t let the roadworks put you off. We promise we’ll make it worth the journey ❤️
