We’ve taken our time to refine every dish, keeping things fresh, seasonal, and full of flavour. Staying true to our values, our meat is sourced from a trusted butcher in Cam, while our fruit and vegetables come from local suppliers wherever possible.

Quality and taste are at the heart of everything we do, and we know that’s something you’ve come to expect from us.

20th June ☀️ Summer Solstice at the Lock Keepers on the River Severn from 12-9/10

Flowing spritzes, DJs all day, riverside taster menu & sunset vibes.
This Summer Solstice, we’re transforming the Lock Keepers into a Riviera hideaway on the River Severn.

Think sun drenched afternoons, flowing spritzes, ice cold cocktails, and DJs soundtracking the day from laid back daytime grooves through to golden hour. A beautifully curated taster menu will be served beside the water, inspired by long summer lunches and slow sunset evenings on the Riviera.

Nature all around. Music in the air. Glasses always full.

20th June is the longest day of the year, come and chase the sunset with us.

🚧 Important Update: A40 Over Bridge Roadworks 🚧

As many of you may already know, major roadworks on the A40 Over Bridge are due to begin in June and continue until March 2027.

Naturally, this will have a significant impact on our business, and we’re currently assessing exactly what this means for us and our customers, especially at a time when we’ve been building such fantastic momentum, thanks to you all ⭐

We recently met with Ewan from National Highways to discuss the project in detail, review the planned traffic management, and gain a clearer understanding of the upcoming changes.

Here’s what we know so far:
➡️ From 8th June until the completion of the works, there will be NO right turn westbound into Horseshoe Drive(where we’re located). Customers travelling westbound will need to continue to Highnam Roundabout and return back into the contra flow.

➡️ From July, a dedicated lane will be introduced from Toby Carvery down to our entrance, allowing easier access before merging back into the contra-flow system when leaving

🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️ You can still visit us on foot, boat or by bike, and we’ll be encouraging these options with some special incentives, more details coming soon!

🚌 Bus services will continue to run as normal. Our bus stop will be relocated slightly further along the road, and we’ll share the exact location as soon as it’s confirmed.

Full Road Closure Dates (8pm–6am)
❌ Monday 29th June
❌ Monday 20th July
❌ Tuesday 21st July
❌ Monday 27th July

Additional closure dates are still to be confirmed. We will contact any hotel guests directly if their stay is affected

We’ll continue to keep you updated whenever we receive new information. As the works progress, we may make some adjustments to how we operate to ensure we can continue providing the best possible experience for our customers

We’ve had such an amazing Bank Holiday weekend ✨

thank you to everyone who joined us over Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and made it so special! Whether you stopped by for a leisurely lunch or spent a summer evening enjoying cocktails with us, we appreciate every single one of you

It’s been the best weekend we’ve had in the two years since opening The Lock Keepers, and seeing the business continue to grow and progress every day is incredibly motivating for us all.

We’re closed today (Monday) as usual, but we can’t wait to welcome you back from Tuesday onwards!
