Madras Express Mouthwatering modern Indian street food. We create light, healthy curries using only the freshest ingredients. A small-scale operation that’s big on flavour.

Based just off Portobello Road, we source all our vegetables and herbs from the eponymous market, our spices from the excellent Mr Singh on nearby Golborne Road. Andy, our talented chef, used to manage the legendary Moon and Sixpence restaurant in Bath, before realising that he’s happiest in the kitchen. He has subsequently trained in Goa, South India, and applies his unique flair to dishes both familiar and exotic. Our menu is deliberately short, comprising just four dishes, with a weekly changing seasonal special, the emphasis on quality over quantity. We do urge you to try our zesty, cleverly-spiced food - we promise you won't look back!
