Meet the Team Monday!
We’re so pleased to introduce you to the newest member of our kitchen team, Martin!
Though he’s only been with us for a couple of months, it already feels like he’s been part of the White Hart family for years, settling in perfectly right from the start.
Martin first stepped into the world of hospitality working front of house at Smith & Western, just before Covid. Once we were all able to open our doors again, he decided to take on a new challenge and try his hand in the kitchen, eager to broaden his skills and learn every side of our wonderful industry.
He threw himself into the role, working his way through every station and learning all he could before progressing to Sous Chef.
When life took him to a new area, he joined the team at Royal Ashdown Golf Club as Chef de Partie, where he had the privilege of working alongside a talented Head Chef with experience in Michelin-recommended kitchens.
When we heard Martin was on the move, we jumped at the chance to welcome him home to the White Hart! We’re absolutely delighted to have his experience, passion and wonderful attitude with us.
We asked Martin a few questions to help you — and us here at the White Hart — get to know him a little better!
Position: Part-Time Commis Chef

Hobbies: Skateboarding, airsoft, gaming and attending gigs
Favourite Dishes: Tiramisu, crispy beef stir-fry or a shawarma wrap
Favourite Drink: Espresso Martini
Most Common Question: “Where are you from? You have cool hair!”
