Our Story
Green Ginger is located inside what was the Tynemouth Congregational Church. Built in 1869 it was a place of worship for the residents of Tynemouth as well as the numerous visitors who frequented this popular resort. In 1980, it was converted into “The Land of Green Ginger” - an eclectic shopping arcade. Today Green Ginger Shopping Arcade offers visitors a unique variety of shops & services making it a one-stop destination for shopping, dining and family days out. With numerous brand-new shops and services and exciting changes being made to its interior, Green Ginger is forever refreshing itself.
