Based at Truro Farme An ideal lunchtime or afternoon treat!

Most countries, cities & towns have their own versions of Churros, our version we like to describe as "A Spanish dish with a Cornish twist!" After being dipped in plain or cinnamon sugar they can be drizzled in either chocolate, caramel, strawberry or lemon sauce/toppings! There are two basic options, a standard "individual" portion containing 4 Churros or our spectacular "Giant Churro!" Its

usually about 30cm ( a foot) long, comes drizzled in the topping of your choice & if you are young enough, covered in "sprinkles"!! Our Churros are freshly mixed & cooked right in front of you. We never use 'pre-mix' & never use 'brought in' mix in sweaty plastic bags, we like to keep it totally fresh! Also our Churros are suitable for Vegans as they contain no egg or dairy products! Come on down to Lemon Quay (The Piazza) in Truro most Saturdays & try some, we will always be there to serve you with a smile! Alternatively, head over to Par Market on Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays where we serve both our classic Churros as well as hot doughnuts! I am happy to be a full committee member/owner of Truro Farmers Market which has been serving the Truro area for nearly 20 years now, TFM is a privately owned, privately run non profit making Co-operative which is fully independent. We try to provide a wide variety of sustainable stalls (whilst adhering to our 'constitution' ) & therefore if possible avoid 'doubling' up in favour of variety. Applications from different or unusual producers are always welcomed & considered.

As a result of the National lock down Kernow Churros will be closed until at least the end of January. This includes both our stalls, at Par Market & at Truro Farmers Market. As 'open air' fast food outlets we could stay open but crowds / queues etc spread the virus so we have deemed it responsible to close.

We appreciate our customers support throughout these tough times and hope to continue serving you later in the new year!

Open throughout lockdown.

We are pleased to announce that our weekly outdoor markets in both Truro and Falmouth will remain open throughout this next lockdown. In line with Government guidance we will operate with ‘essential stalls’ only, including:

All food, drink & grocery
Hot food stalls – takeaway only
Plants and Flowers
Soap

Sadly, our lovely craft and charity stalls all come under the bracket of ‘non essential’ and are not permitted to trade throughout this lockdown. We look forward to welcoming them back when they are permitted to do so.

Our weekly market days and opening hours will remain the same as always.

Tuesday - The Moor, Falmouth, 9am - 1.30pm
Wednesday - Lemon Quay, Truro, 9am - 3.30pm
Saturday – Lemon Quay Truro, 9am - 3.30pm

We will continue to provide a safe, socially distanced, outdoor shopping environment for all our customers and traders. Including:

- An enclosed market square area with a marshalled entry/exit point so that we can safely control numbers of people in and out of the market.

- A clear queueing space along the back of our tents outside the square (for if and when needed).

- A one-way system for customers to walk around and visit each of the stalls.

- Hand sanitiser station at the entry/exit point for customers to use.

- In addition, all stall holders have carried out their own risk assessment and will have additional measures for their own stall in place.

We kindly ask that all customers respect these social distance measures when visiting the market and we thank you for your patience and support throughout 🙏
