Visit Truro, a service provided by Truro City Council, is inviting residents and visitors to share their experiences of Truro as part of its newly launched 2026 Visitor Survey. The survey, hosted by The South West Research Company Ltd. on behalf of Visit Truro, aims to gather valuable insights that will help shape and improve the visitor experience across the city.

The survey focuses on both current and previous leisure visits to Truro, seeking feedback on what visitors enjoy most and where improvements can be made. By collecting a wide range of responses, Visit Truro hopes to ensure the city continues to evolve as a welcoming, vibrant destination for everyone.

Participants can expect the survey to take just a few minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous, and no individuals will be identified in any reporting or findings.

As a token of appreciation, those who complete the survey will have the option to enter into a prize draw to 𝐰𝐢𝐧 a Cornish Food & Drink hamper worth £100. Please note that competition terms and conditions apply.

Do you have a garden space in Truro? Truro City Council are hosting the Annual Garden and Allotment Competition and you can enter today!

There are 15 different Classes to enter from Urban Gardens to Communal Gardens, Vegetable Gardens to Patio Gardens and many more!

Truro City Council has a new job vacancy for a Casual Café Assistant. The position is a fast-paced role to provide support for the day-to-day running of Cafe in the Park at Boscawen Park.

This role is part-time, and under the casual worker agreement, so there are no guaranteed hours of work. The anticipated start date is 1st July 2026.

Truro City Council would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in this year's Easter Trails at Victoria Gardens and Boscawen Park. Across both trails, 548 children participated, and we have already received a wide range of valuable feedback through our post-event survey.

If you took part in one or both of the trails and haven't yet shared your thoughts, we would love to hear from you. Please take a moment to complete our short survey for a chance to win a Waterstones voucher. The deadline to enter the prize draw is Monday 27th April. Everyone who submitted an Easter Trail entry form and provided contact details has been automatically entered into one of two prize draws per trail. 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐫𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥’𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐲 🎺

Truro City Council’s popular Bandstand Concert series will return to Victoria Gardens next month, starting on Sunday 3rd May 2026.

This much-loved annual programme will run throughout the summer, with performances taking place every Sunday until 27th September. The programme will showcase a diverse range of local talent, including male voice choirs, saxophone quartets, and traditional silver bands - offering something for audiences of all ages.

Concerts will take place from 2:30pm to 4:00pm and are free to attend, with no booking required. Residents and visitors alike are invited to relax and enjoy live music in the peaceful surroundings of Victoria Gardens.

𝐀𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐰𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐏𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧

Truro City Council’s new community sports and wellbeing Pavilion at Boscawen Park has reached another key milestone as work on the exterior of the building nears completion.

The scaffolding has been removed from the front and left-hand side of the outside of the building. Truro Mayor Chris Wells and Town Deal Chairman Alan Stanhope visited the site to view the impressive larch wood cladding and receive an update on the next stage of the project.

They were joined by representatives of the project team, including contractor Fox Construction Solutions and project managers from Ward Williams Associates, and officers from Truro City Council.

The construction of the Boscawen Park Pavilion is being led by Truro City Council and forms part of the wider £5.2 million project to improve the facilities at Boscawen Park, which is funded by Truro Town Deal with support from Cornwall Council. This project will provide modern, inclusive facilities designed to help people of all ages and abilities stay active.

As well as the new building, formally named Boscawen Park Pavilion, the wider Boscawen Park Project also includes extending and resurfacing the pétanque pitch, resurfacing the riverside walk, installing new fencing on the riverside of the park and installing new drainage and reseeding the playing fields.
