In the name of the One who made flavors the inspiration of moments…

Cornish Vegan, the restaurant that, for years, was filled with your cherished memories and joyful moments, had gone quiet for a while. Today, with deep respect and gratitude for the previous management—who laid the foundation for a beloved name and a welcoming space—we are delighted to share the beginning of a new chapter with you.


Under new management, with a fresh perspective and a completely reimagined menu, SIP is now evolving into a wine bar, restaurant, and all-day café. While we’re introducing mainly Persian cuisine with a touch of fusion, we’re also proud to still offer a variety of delicious and interesting vegan options.

From our warm and vibrant Persian-style breakfasts to carefully curated small plates and mains, SIP is all about flavor, soul, and creativity. And yes—we serve our very own natural, homemade wine, crafted with love and care.

We'll be open tomorrow (Saturday) from 1200 until 2100! We'll be serving a slightly reduced lunch menu but our full dinner menu will be available from 1700.
Don't forget you can now get hold of our food through Deliveroo Wednesday to Saturday as well!

To all our wonderful customers who have supported us in 2024 - a very Happy New Year from all of us at The Cornish Vegan.

My name is Phil and I’m the owner and chef at Truro’s only 100% vegan restaurant and I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us, worked for us or in any other way enabled us to bring the best plant-based food and drink that we possibly could to the City. Everyone involved has helped to make a massive difference - both to promoting a vegan way of living and to the animals that a plant-based diet saves.

Unfortunately, 2024 has not been without its difficulties. Many food and hospitality establishments have reported one of the worst trading seasons in recent years, and we have sadly been no exception. The cost of living, coupled with the general state of the economy plus hugely rising costs and a budget that does not favour small businesses have all combined to make it an extremely difficult year.

Although 2025 has the potential to be an improvement, I am unfortunately at the stage where I simply cannot afford to continue any longer and will, very sadly, be listing the business for sale this month in the hope that someone may have the resources and vision to take it forward into 2025. I have quite literally put everything I have into trying to keep The Cornish Vegan open and to continue to show what is possible with plants, and I am hugely grateful to everyone who gave their time and energy to this end as well.

HOWEVER…. We’re not quite done yet! Whilst we go through the process of finding a new owner I’ll be keeping our kitchen open for takeaways, so, from next week, you can still get hold of our delicious menu through Deliveroo. We’re ALSO hoping to open the restaurant at weekends in case you would like to visit us in person. Please keep an eye on our socials and website for details as we might have a reshuffle of a few menu items and do our best to bring you all some great dishes.

Aside from that the only thing to really say is a huge thank you to our wonderful staff, suppliers, volunteer family members, friends and supporters for an unforgettable 2024. I wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2025.
