Thankyou to everyone that has supported us, it’s been a busy month.

Have you noticed diesel is nearly £2 a litre !

WE ARE ALL BEING TAXED TO DEATH

The government step in and get involved with what other companies charge ie electricity and gas.
Isn’t it time the government listened to what they preach and stopped taxing us on fuel.

Every single trade and product is affected by the price of fuel and our government are cashing in making more profit from VAT revenue.

In the UK, the government currently receives:

* Fuel duty: 52.95p per litre
* VAT: 20% of the pre-VAT price—equivalent to one-sixth of the pump price

At current average prices -

Petrol pump price 172.85
Taxes per litre 81.76 = 47.3%

Diesel pump price 196.89
Taxes per litre 85.77 = 43.6%

So, roughly 44–47% of the pump price goes to the government in tax. The percentage falls as fuel becomes more expensive because fuel duty is fixed per litre, while VAT varies with the price.

VAT is also charged on top of the fuel duty.
