For those who have visited us in Drouthys in Ayr it has been lovely to see some familiar faces.

we have more exciting news !!!

we now also have the keys for The Clansman pub in Kilmarnock, we are in mid renovation and will be opening this in a few weeks !! so will be good to maybe see a few of you in Killie or Ayr.

We are also looking for staff for Kilmarnock and Ayr and a Resident DJ for Kilmarnock

In the words of the four seasons …. OH WHAT A NIGHT !! Our Xmas Eve farewell party was epic!!

Place was mobbed and such a great crowd of recognisable faces from the time we have been opened!! And even some new who couldn’t believe we will be closing.

But unfortunately it’s out of our hands, we didn’t want to close but we didn’t have much choice but we are not going into that.

All we want to say is THANK YOU !!! For everything and who knows maybe it’s a see you later more than a goodbye but for now it’s defo over and out for team Mckays!!

We hope all our customers had a great evening and a lovely Xmas and all the best for the new year!!

To our cherished customers and friends,
It is with sadness that we announce the permanent closure of Mckays !

We have tried our hardest to remain open and come to an agreement with the brewers to continue the lease but it is with failed attempt that they have not accepted our offers and Our last day of trading will be Xmas Eve 24th December, where we will have a party with Singer Alan Frew and finish on a good time and party night! Bring in Xmas with a Bang , get ur dancing shoes on!!

Would be great to see you all !!

We want to extend our sincerest thanks to each and every one of you who has walked through our doors and supported us. It has meant the world to us, especially during challenging times recently.

We have made some brilliant memories and friends along the way, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.
We hope to see you for one last drink before we close.

On the positive side we recently have opened Drouthys bar in Ayr so if you would like to visit us or keep in contact the staff who will continue to do some shifts over in Drouthys

Hope you are all staying safe and limited damage but the wind is picking up and we have decided to remain closed until it passes and we will reopen tomorrow as usual !!
