A Piece of Tring History Inside Tarboush

Step inside Tarboush Tring and you’re stepping into a building with centuries of history.

Our home at 50 High Street, Tring is a Grade II listed building, officially recognised for its special architectural and historic interest. The building dates back to the 17th century and was formerly known as The Plough Inn. In the early 19th century, the front block was reconstructed, and during the 1920s, while part of the Rothschild estate, the shopfront was added. Historic features still remain, including exposed timbers, old beams, cellar supports, and the character you can see preserved in our walls today.

We’re proud to preserve this piece of Tring’s heritage while welcoming you to create new memories with us — where history, hospitality, and great food come together.
