Some dishes just taste like summer, and our pan-fried red mullet is one of them. We had it again yesterday and it’s still turning heads - properly good.

If you’re after something a bit heartier, we’ve got two-for-one pies on today too.

Mikron Theatre is arriving by canal this evening and performing right here in The Grand Junction Arms Beer Garden. No booking, no ticket price — just turn up and pay what you feel.
The show is Wensleydale Whey: The Grate Cheese Quest, and yes, we've leaned into the theme. Tonight's menu includes:
🥧 2-4-1 pies — beef & stilton, and more
🧀 Ploughman's
🍽️ Cheeseboard

Mikron will transport you to the Yorkshire Dales, in a hilarious quest to revive a lost recipe! 

The stakes are high: the Monks from the Abbey are desperately seeking a living soul to resurrect their traditional Wensleydale cheese. This charming tale promises a gouda time as it immerses you in a world of ghosts, grievances, and glorious cheese. 

 We’ll delve into the rich history of cheese, from its humble beginnings to its place on the most sophisticated platters, featuring a cast of characters who are whey out there. 

 Expect a cheesy plot, a sprinkle of drama, and plenty of fromage-tastic musical numbers. 

Join us for a slice of the action – it’s going to be a legen-dairy Mikron show. 

 It’s time to Brie-lieve in the power of cheese!

Every Monday without fail the hero that is Matt gives our cellar a deep scrub, rotates the beers, places the orders and makes sure we are organised for the week with our cask ales! We do this on Mondays so that we are good and ready for Cask Club every Tuesday, where all of our cask ales are just £4 a pint! No matter the weather, you can’t resist a well priced, well looked after pint of ale!
