These were a labour of love! My daughter is turning 12 this weekend and is having a sleepover with 3 of her friends. I wanted to try some new designs which I had in mind. These were tricky as I had to have 4 different piping bags and nozzles on the go simultaneously, to achieve the various petals etc!! I am making her main cake on Friday. Watch this space!!

It has been a very long time since I posted anything! The Summer holidays have been very busy- I have either been on out of hours shifts at work, or looking after the kids. No downtime for baking sadly! I will be much more active on the baking front over the next few weeks though. I made a cake yesterday (photos to follow once the birthday boy has seen it), and then I'll be making one on Friday for my daughter's birthday. Here's a video I made yesterday.

My first attempt at a brownie stack. Really pleased with this one :) When my friend requested this I initially declined as I had never done one before; but she persuaded me to have a go. I'm glad I did as I really enjoyed it :) I wasn't sure how many I'd need so I made an extra tray. My family and I got to have a few of the spares and I can safely say they passed the gooey, fudgy, brownie standards I had set for myself!!

Baby girl cakes with acrylic toppers :) The button, elephant and feet are handmade from fondant icing though and are fully edible! I like to use at least a few toppers that are non-perishable on baby themed cakes as they are great to have as a keepsake in the baby's memory box :)
