It was our ten year wedding anniversary this week, and Anna (my life and FOH partner-in-crime) managed to track down this book for me.

I’m a huge fan of and his cooking is a massive source of inspiration for my supper club menus. I confess to having plagiarised his salt cod brandade and rabbit blanquette in one form or another!

Perhaps at some point I’ll make a pilgrimage to Trinity and see if chef will sign it for me!

We're really excited to announce our next supper club - hosted at the beautiful in the heart of Towcester.

Yes, Chinese New Year is officially on the 17th February, we're coming fashionably late to the party with a giant feast.

Tickets are £60pp, including a glass of fizz on arrival, and places are strictly limited to 20.

Gyoza 🥟 or Jiaozi in Chinese are some of my favourite things to make. There’s something meditative about the careful folding.

We’ll be kicking off our Chinese New Year 🧧 feast on the 28th February with some pork and prawn filled ones, along with fluffy hoi sin duck bao, chicken siu mai and vegetable spring rolls.

I always prepare and serve food to the highest levels of hygiene and safety, leaving you to focus on enjoying your food.

P R I V A T E D I N I N G

Had a blast bringing the Ate experience to 9 people in the comfort of their own home last night.

In all the fun I failed to take any pictures other than of the canapés!

Here we’ve got whipped feta with dill, roasted grape on rye bread and smoked salmon rolls with cucumber and cream cheese.

What a fantastic night last night was. Our first event , with 12 wonderful people. Plenty of raucous laughter, interspersed with quiet spells as everyone enjoyed the food.

Thanks to my wonderful wife , and guest star Ajay too for all the help both in front of house and back.

Beautiful produce provided by Smith & Clay Butchers and Deli in Buckingham.

Another fantastic night last, sold out, cooking for some great company. Asian inspired menu with gyoza, crispy duck bonbons, sake-braised short rib and lime meringue for dessert.

About last night…

What a fantastic evening! Ten wonderful people, all around one big table, meeting new faces, sharing stories around a whole lot of food.

I couldn’t have done it without my beautiful wife who led front of house, and thanks to Nikki for lending us her space, Andy & Cassie for the beer, Demi for the beautiful produce and Josh .bud for the wine.

Next one on the 26th is fully booked, but stay tuned for more dates to come. ❤️
