Had a wonderful time yesterday doing a private dining for a hen do. As per usual I forgot to take photos of everything as my focus ends up on the service and nothing else… so you can use your imagination with the concept pictures I drew for the client!

Actually pictured are the canapés: whipped feta and roasted grape, chicken caesar bites; and the mushroom tartare starter with a soy-cured egg yolk

Been doing some recipe development today for the taco pop up on 5th September (see pinned post in my profile!).

Did a lamb and beef version today, and the lamb came out king. These are so good… and the consomé is liquid gold.

It’s nearly time! Tomorrow we open the doors for the first Summer Saturday of the season. Craft drinks, great company and a courtyard made for lingering.

We are open from 10am as usual but our hours will now be extended into the evening! See you there 🙌

It was our ten year wedding anniversary this week, and Anna (my life and FOH partner-in-crime) managed to track down this book for me.

I’m a huge fan of and his cooking is a massive source of inspiration for my supper club menus. I confess to having plagiarised his salt cod brandade and rabbit blanquette in one form or another!

Perhaps at some point I’ll make a pilgrimage to Trinity and see if chef will sign it for me!

We're really excited to announce our next supper club - hosted at the beautiful in the heart of Towcester.

Yes, Chinese New Year is officially on the 17th February, we're coming fashionably late to the party with a giant feast.

Gyoza 🥟 or Jiaozi in Chinese are some of my favourite things to make. There’s something meditative about the careful folding.

We’ll be kicking off our Chinese New Year 🧧 feast on the 28th February with some pork and prawn filled ones, along with fluffy hoi sin duck bao, chicken siu mai and vegetable spring rolls.
