🌘 LOOK UP TONIGHT! 🌘

Something pretty special is happening in the sky this evening… a partial solar eclipse will be visible across the UK! 🌞🌙✨

And what better way to enjoy this rare moment than with fresh food, a cold b**r and one of our outdoor tables? 🍻🍽️🌿

Grab a table outside, enjoy dinner and a drink, and keep your eyes on the sky as the Moon passes across the Sun.

Good food. Cold b**r. Outdoor tables. And a little bit of magic in the sky. ✨

Sounds like a pretty good evening to us! ❤️

⚠️ Remember to use proper solar viewing protection and never look directly at the Sun.

🚨 Just a reminder – it's tomorrow! 🚴‍♀️💙

Tomorrow (Saturday 8th August) we're proud to once again be supporting the UK Police Unity Tour as the first stop on their incredible annual ride. 💙

🚴 The cyclists will be leaving Milton Keynes at around 8:00am and are expected to arrive at The Folly between 8:30am and 9:00am.

👏 We'd love to see as many people as possible come along to cheer on the riders as they stop with us before continuing their journey through Towcester. Your support means so much and helps recognise the amazing work they are doing.

💙 The UK Police Unity Tour raises vital funds for Care of Police Survivors (COPS), a charity that supports the families of police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

🚗 Please note: If you're planning to come by car, we'd kindly ask that you don't park in The Folly's car park, as we'll need all available spaces for the cyclists and support vehicles.

🙏 If you'd like to support this fantastic cause, you can donate here:

Thank you, and we look forward to welcoming the riders tomorrow! 💙🚴

☀️ Important Update ☀️

Unfortunately, due to temperatures spiking again, we have made the difficult decision to close for the rest of today (Thursday).

We know this may disappoint some of our customers, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience. However, the health and wellbeing of our team—especially our kitchen team, who work in an already incredibly hot environment—has to come first. We also need to protect our refrigeration equipment to ensure we can continue operating safely.

This isn't a decision we've taken lightly, but with temperatures rising again, we believe it's the safest and most responsible decision for everyone.

We'll be back open as normal from tomorrow (Friday), and we look forward to welcoming you then.

Thank you so much for your patience, understanding and continued support of our small business.

Stay safe, keep cool, and we'll see you soon. ❤️

☀️ Important Update ☀️

Due to the extreme temperatures today, we have made the decision to close during the daytime and reopen for our evening service.

This decision has been made to ensure the wellbeing of our team—especially our kitchen team, who work in an already very hot environment—and to protect our refrigeration equipment during the heatwave.

Whilst furry friends are always welcome at The Folly, we would strongly recommend that owners keep their dogs at home until the weather is more suitable for them. The pavements, cars and outdoor temperatures can become dangerously hot very quickly, and their comfort and safety must come first. 🐾❤️

We'll be back open this evening, serving great food, ice-cold b**rs, refreshing drinks and plenty of ice cream to help you cool down after a scorching day! 🍻🍦

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Stay safe and keep cool, everyone.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you later.
