❗️ However, just a reminder we do not have Nonna Lucia's with us this Friday as they are now on their annual hols, and will return in September... The good news is we do have the next three Fridays covered in August, more details next week!

Fab news! We are delighted to announce that our Black Fire has won its first Great Taste award! 🤗🏆🤩

For the second time, we are proud recipients of this much coveted 1-star from the Great Taste Awards, this year for Black Fire. This beer was one of 6,188 products to receive an award from Great Taste in 2026 (which is only 41.15% of all entries) and 4,286 products were awarded a Great Taste 1-star, meaning ‘simply delicious’.

We are absolutely delighted with this fantastic achievement and you will soon see the prestigious black and gold Great Taste badge of honour on all our bottles of Black Fire 🖤🔥 Cheers to Aidan, our brewer and brewery director, John! 👏

Another fab Crayfish Festival - our 1️⃣0️⃣th one! - took place this afternoon with giant pans of paella taking centre stage out in the garden, along with our friends from Gallones Icecream Towcester 🍺🦞🍦 The sun shone, the wind blew and the rain stayed away, thankfully! ⛅️

This is always one of our absolute fave events, the perfect community gathering for friends old and new, with delicious food, great drinks and some time out in the fresh air. Massive thanks to Mark and his team from Crayfish Capers who have been with us from the very beginning, when it was a relatively small event. Cheers to the next few years! 🍻

It's all happening out in the garden! 😎🌳 Free entry, bring camping chairs and blankets if you want. It is normally busy so if you do want to eat please do come earlier rather than later to avoid disappointment.

The outside bar will have a choice of drinks - Purity IPA, Rattler cider, Lilley's Mango cider, Birra Moretti (alcohol and non-alcoholic), Guinness Zero, Saxby's cider, pus wine and Prosecco, gin, vodka and some soft drinks. Tap Room open as usual!

Please walk to the Mill if you can to ease any congestion in the car park. Cheers! 🍻

Paella and pints will be on the menu once again this summer as our Crayfish Festival returns for its tenth year, this Sunday! 🦞

Crayfish Capers, a family run business in Milton Keynes, will be cooking up the biggest paella dishes for all to enjoy on Sunday 26 July from 12pm. On the menu will be:
🥘 Giant Pan Mixed Crayfish Paella (Mixta)
🥘 Giant Pan Meat Paella (Carne)
🥪 Prime Cod Fish Finger Sandwich
🥪 Crayfish & Smoked Salmon Fish Finger Sandwich
🍦 We will also have Gallones Icecream Towcester with us during the afternoon from 12pm in case you fancy a sweet treat!

❗️ Due to the current low water levels in the Mill leat, there won't be any whole crayfish available this year - they've all tootled off down stream to find more water. This won't affect the ever-popular paellas though 😋 We'll also have an outside bar on Sunday afternoon, open from 12pm 🍺
