We only went and WON the BBC Make a Difference Community Award for 2026 last night!!! 🤯

It's media mayhem over here!! Four interviews in less than 24 hours (two of them live) and multiple articles coming through. Total social and psychological burnout, but we cannot believe it, we're so grateful and honoured to have the support of our group, friends, brothers (and sisters). Seems as though we truly are making a difference in our communities, which is an honour.

Thanks to and for their coverage, a great event and well done to all the other finalists doing great things for our locality and planet, making this society feel a kinder place 🙏🏼

We look forward to what's next, but for now to try and recuperate, let it sink in...

From all at,
CIC / Dough Bros
and co.

Much love 🖤

Apologies for the radio silence on here, but we have been extremely busy behind the scenes...

We're very proud to say that we've been shortlisted as one of the four finalists for BBC Devon Make a Difference Awards!

We are up for the Community Group Award sponsored by BBC Morning Live which recognises a group of people who have truly changed the lives of others.

This is for our flagship peer-led support programme, Dough Bros, which was conceived back in 2021 based on a 6 month grant and then run entirely off proceeds from Pizza Pirates UK profits. Five years later and with the dedication and persistence of our core team and mentality and willingness from group members and participants new and old, we're still going strong 🔥 🍕

The awesome .loosemore and Amy Wilford-Hey came to join one of our sessions last week for a bit of recording and we felt so proud of the recognition for all the foundations we've built and established in our communities over the years, and of course our beautiful groups of men who keep turning up to support one another and roll with the waves..

The winners will be announced at a ceremony event sometime in late September. Wish us luck 🤞🏼

P.s. As always, men, if you need us we're here 🫂

Our first gig since Xmas Markets 2025!!!
Some of you may know that Pizza Pirates has had a HUGE downscaling whilst providing more support to it's core organisation Resilient Lives CIC work in the community. However, after months of slogging without a kitchen and limited equipment, we are pleased to say we will be back at a few of our favourite events this Summer! ☀️ Starting with the awesome Skyrise Festival which has also been scaled down for this year. Last year's edition was one of our best selling events of the year - the demand for our pizzas was so high - we were absolutely blown away... 🔥

Hoping we can provide a similar level of satisfactory service, albeit on a slightly smaller scale. We hope to see you down there. For those of you we haven't seen since last year, please do pop by and say hi 👋

Pirate love 🏴‍☠️

We’re pleased to share this photo and message from Matthew Croston, Director of Resilient Lives - a social enterprise bringing people together through food, connection, and shared experience. 🍕🧑‍🍳

Their brilliant Pizza Pirates UK project not only serves up delicious pizza but also creates peer led spaces where men and boys can meet, connect, and support one another. 💪

In 2025, Pizza Pirates received £1,500 in Totnes Town Council Community Funding to help towards buying a new van, to grow their important work. 🚐

Matthew shared this message with us:
“I just wanted to let you know how grateful we are to the Town Council for helping us to buy a new van. It’s allowed us to support more men and boys within the local community through our wellbeing programmes, local employment and community projects. Thank you!” 🍕💛

Thank you very much to Plant Prana for donating to our social enterprise organisation Resilient Lives CIC this Christmas! 🙏🏼🎄

To provide safe and inclusive spaces for people to connect and thrive 👊🏼

If you're interested in donating or joining one of our programmes - please don't hesitate to get in touch. We welcome all men 🖤

Did you know su***de remains the top killer of men under 50, often striking in the shadows of unspoken isolation?

This Giving December, we're turning every purchase into a lifeline. 🌿❤️

That's why Plant Prana is donating 10% of all proceeds this week to Resilient Lives, a local social enterprise that empowers men through peer-led spaces for connection, support, and growth.

Through their Dough Bro's initiative, they offer fun, hands-on pizza-making programs that help guys manage mental health, combat isolation, and rebuild well-being. They've already touched hundreds of lives, often providing that crucial nudge toward hope and healing.

As entrepreneurs and humans, we know loneliness can hit hard. Let's change that together. Shop now, feeling good that every nut butter helps build stronger communities.
