EXCITING NEWS!!
Great Torrington Book Fair is back SATURDAY 5TH DECEMBER, and we are thrilled to have so many wonderful local and slightly further afield authors signing up already.
If you don't already, pop over to the Castle Community Centre & Gardens page where you can keep up with the updates as they come in.
There will be authors of a wide range of genres, author talks, book signings, activities for younger ones. The Climate Changing Room will also be hosting talks on Climate Change & Sustainability so lots to visit for!

There are several other petitions to stop development of the AI data centres and BESS and a huge amount of information available on this page Devon Data Centre & BESS Action Group
Remember, you don't have to live nearby to support the campaigns here and around the country.

Introduce: (1) an immediate moratorium on planning approvals for BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) and Data Centres outside designated AI Growth Zones; (2) mandatory Rural Impact Assessments conducted at local level; and (3) mandatory comprehensive investigation into financing of all proposals.

WE ARE HIRING!

Looking for a multi skilled, hard working, reliable and flexible team member to join our small team, covering ALL aspects of the day day running of the cafe.
We would love to hear from you if you have experience, or the ability to learn, in all areas including:
Front of house/Customer service
Food prep, baking
Service cooking to order
Barista and drinks prep
Cleaning
Till
Hours will be Tuesday to Friday and alternate Saturdays.
We are a hands on team where we all "muck in" to deliver a high standard of food, drink and customer service. It can get VERY busy at times so calm under pressure would be an advantageous quality.
National minimum wage and all statutory rights.
