The Chelston Manor has always been a fabulous community pub. It is a special place that means so much to so many of you and I have had the absolute privilege of being its guardian for the last 7 years.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support, for your company, your friendship and the many laughs along the way. I will always treasure the wonderful memories that we have all shared. I promise (whether you like it or not) that I will continue to pop in and keep in touch with so many of you.

I have been truly blessed to have the support from the fabulous team here at the Manor. They are an exceptional bunch and I know they will continue to welcome you, look after you and generally keep you entertained (or in line depending on who you are!)

I know I leave the manor in very safe hands - Stephen and Graham are really lovely people who have the same sentiments and values as we all do. They will continue to look after the Manor and everyone who walks through the doors.

Mark, Lucy and Charlotte and my entire family - especially Ken, Louise, Mark Norbury - thank you for everything. I couldn’t have done it without you.

‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ is the anthem of my team - Liverpool Football Club. It feels appropriate that I leave you all with the same sentiment - if you ever need anything, you know where I am. You really will never walk alone. Take good care of yourself and each other.

The fabulous Conscious Club are playing live in our beautiful garden on Sunday 7th June, 3pm–5pm (weather permitting). This is the full band and the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
