Straight from the wok 🔥 Fillet Beef with Chinese Mushrooms

Tender beef paired with deep, earthy mushrooms and a light savoury sauce. A great choice if you enjoy bold mushroom flavours and classic Chinese cooking.

Simple recipe below ⬇️

Ingredients:
200g fillet beef (sliced)
100g Chinese mushrooms
½ onion (sliced)
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp oyster sauce
½ tsp sugar
1 cup of water
1 tsp cornflour
1 tbsp oil
Spring onions (for garnish)

Method:
1. Heat the oil in a hot wok.
2. Add the sliced onions and stir fry until they soften.
3. Add the fillet beef and cook quickly, stirring well.
4. Add the Chinese mushrooms and mix together.
5. Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, water and cornflour.
6. Toss everything together until the sauce thickens and coats the beef - add spring onion in.

Straight from the wok 🔥 Fillet Beef with Mixed Peppers in Black Bean Sauce

Tender beef with our delicious black bean sauce, perfect over any rice or noodle base.

Simplified recipe for those wanting to give this dish a try at home:

Ingredients (serves 2)
250g fillet beef, sliced thinly
1 tbsp fermented black beans, rinsed
1–2 mixed peppers, cubed
½ onion, cubed
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp oil

Marinade
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp cornflour
1 tsp sesame oil

Sauce
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
8-10 tbsp water
Pinch of sugar
Cornstarch

Method
1. Marinate beef for 10 minutes.
2. Heat wok until smoking, add oil.
3. Fry black beans, onion, garlic and peppers until fragrant.
4. Add beef; stir-fry briefly.
5. Pour in sauce, toss on high heat until glossy and slightly thickened, add cornstarch for extra thickening.
