Sad to see it all go - but go it must…

Hi everyone

As you know, last year we took the tough decision to shut our hotel and restaurant. Much as we hoped someone would want to continue the tradition of hospitality at Meadfoot and though we had a series of potential buyers step forward they all fell away, the last of which pulled the plug two days before exchange last month.

So we have decided that converting the building into residential is the best route open to us. Which means everything is up for sale. Initially we are looking to sell the contents of our kitchen and restaurant and then a little bit further down the line the hotel's furniture, fixtures and fittings.

If you are looking to add anything to your operation at very low cost this could be a great opportunity. Here's a flavour of what we have:-

A very wide range of 'designer' crockery

Glassware - just about every type of glass any self respecting bar or restaurant would need

Various items of kitchen equipment ranging from a Rational Oven to heated cabinet/plate warmer and pass gantry, 6 drawer refrigerated saladette to ice cream maker and more besides

Needless to say everything must go (before the end of October) and is therefore on sale at very attractive prices!

Excuse me waiter my egg is on fire!

Chef Callum and his team have created another little show stopper in the shape of this spiced crème Catalan with orange sablé Breton biscuits. Just one of 20 delicious dishes on our new assiettes menu of which you can enjoy six, plus a bottle of our house pinot grigio or merlot for just £50.00.

Chef Callum's tasting menus cater for all tastes and diets. This lovely pudding in the pic is his fully vegan Dark Chocoalte ganache with orange set gel, hazelnut praline and cocoanib tuile and here's our current Vegan Tasting menu (which also has a vegan wine flight available too).

Open Beetroot Raviolo
confit shallot and vegan soft cheese mousse

Hay smoked roasted butternut squash
butternut chutney, toasted pumpkin seeds, dehydrated cavolo nero

Salt baked celeriac glazed with miso soy
thyme scented haricot blanc puree, roasted enoki mushrooms, hazelnut and thyme dressing

Wild Mushroom and truffle en croute
glazed baby vegetables, port reduction

70% dark chocolate ganache
hazelnut praline, set orange gel, cocoanib tuile

Winter apple tart tartin
Somerset cider, brandy caramel, green apple sorbet, apple crisp
