This Christmas, we're doing things a little differently...

Chef Debbie has brought together the flavours and memories of Christmas past with the Cornish produce and South African influences at the heart of The Marula Tree.

The result is Christmas Reimagined — traditional enough to feel like Christmas, but with a distinctly Marula Tree twist.

Choose from dishes including Sambotie (our arancini-style ball of Cape Malay-spiced bobotie and pearl samp), served with sweet raisin Cape Malay sauce and atchar — alongside Cornish Fish Cake, Cornish Lamb Bunny Chow, Roasted Cornish Gurnard and our Marula Tree Christmas Roast, with a choice of turkey ballotine or pork fillet.

And Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without something sweet...

Situated on the corner of Anthony Road and York Road in Torpoint, The Marula Tree is a small, intimate dining restaurant bringing together Cornish produce and South African-inspired flavours.

Run by Chef Patron Debbie Thorpe and her family, our food is rooted in seasonality, local ingredients, foraging and bold, creative cooking — with the heritage and flavours of South Africa woven throughout.

Since opening, we’ve been incredibly proud to welcome a wonderful mix of local diners, food lovers and even a few familiar faces from the world of television, who have chosen to dine with us while visiting Cornwall.
