Every week, I walk through these doors with my daughter…
and I’m reminded how lucky we are to have our local library 💛

It’s where she’s learning to read.
Where we borrow books and play little library games together.
Where she’s learning to sit, listen and imagine.
Where stories quietly become part of her world.

But it’s not just for children…

It’s where people come to
chat with the librarian,
get help with computers,
find the right book,
or simply feel a little less alone.

This isn’t just a building.

It’s a community hub.
A lifeline.
A safe, welcoming space for everyone.

And it’s at risk.

Hours have already been reduced…
and now more cuts are being discussed.

What a strange week it’s been since the cafe closed 💔 I miss your sunny faces each day & those of your little ones 🎶

But it’s been a wonderful restful time for my little family after an ever changing yet strangely clear few months. I’m so blessed to have my little girl by my side & her magical way of seeing the world. And now of course our youngest - Bella Fluffikins the First 😻

There’s a lot to look forward to this half term, not least the motherhood course I’ll be running alongside starting this Wednesday- it’s now sold out but get in touch to find out about others.

We also have our second term of the Nook Nine Coaching Club- a hub, resource & supportive circle for all women returning to work after having children - join us as we grow 👌

I’m also building some exciting next steps for nook community CIC and am so excited to share with you when I can 👀

✨ Nook’s Last Day ✨

Today was very emotional. I’ve cried (quite a lot!) — but mostly from feeling so touched by the love and support from all of you who’ve made what it is. Seeing so many familiar faces — friends who started as regulars and became part of my everyday - has meant so much ☕💛

Nook has been such a special part of the Topsham community, especially for local families. It’s been a place full of laughter, connection, and tiny everyday moments that I’ll treasure forever 🌿

I’m bereft to close this chapter, but also very excited for the next one — Nook Community CIC 💫 A new way to keep the same heart and purpose going. Keep an eye here and our newsletter for updates xx

Huge love to everyone who came today and who’s supported us, and a special thanks to my precious friend Jess for capturing today so beautifully 📸💛

🍂✨ Nook Nine Club is coming this autumn ✨🍂

As the children start or return to school, this is the perfect time to turn your attention back to you—and those business ideas that have been waiting in the wings.

I’m so excited to finally share what I’ve been building behind the scenes: Nook Nine Club. It’s a coaching club for freelance women who are running a business—or dreaming of starting one—while navigating motherhood. It’s about building something that works with your life as a parent, not against it 💛

Inside Nook Nine Club, you’ll find practical coaching, honest conversations, and a supportive community of women who understand what it’s like to juggle family and ambition.

Drawing on my own experience as a freelance mum and business owner, and on the insights I’ve gained from working with many clients and fellow female business owners, I’ve shaped our first term into six gentle but focused weeks—covering what truly works when you’re building a business alongside family life.

We’ll meet weekly to learn, reflect, and map out your next steps—so by the time we head into the new year, you’ll have the clarity, confidence, and momentum you need.

Starting today, we’re treating you to our Mini & Me Hot Chocolate Specials — the perfect sweet end-of-term treat for all the brilliant children and grown-ups who’ve been part of Nook this year ☕️🍫

Thursday 31st July will be our last day open before the August break, when we’ll be closing to rest, reset, and plan what’s next for Nook 💫

Until then, we're open Monday to Saturday, 9am–2pm, so pop in for a calm coffee, a cosy chat, or a play while your drink is still hot (!)

Come show us some love and help us wrap up the term with warmth. We’d love to see you 💛
