After four wonderful years, The Willows Tea & Coffee House will be closing its doors on 28th June.
We opened in April 2022, in the years after the pandemic, as a small family business and a way for us to work together doing something meaningful. Being based beneath Creative with Nature has been such a special part of that journey and it has been a joy to work alongside such a beautiful heritage craft from the very beginning.
We wanted to create a warm, welcoming space in Todmorden where people could pause, connect and feel comfortable. Somewhere you can come alone or with friends, sit quietly or have a chat and feel at ease. It has meant so much to watch that vision grow into a real community.
For the last four years, we’ve also had the pleasure of supplying refreshments for the willow weaving courses upstairs, welcoming students from across the UK and beyond. We’ll truly miss seeing beautiful baskets and sculptures heading out the door every weekend.
We’ve loved spending our days making coffee, brewing tea, listening to good music and opening our doors to the town each morning. We’ve watched Todmorden thrive, met incredible locals, made genuine friendships and shared so many lovely everyday moments.
Now it feels like the right time for a new chapter. I’ll be returning to education, Megan is starting a new career path, Summer is beginning her journey in the military and upstairs at Creative with Nature, Mum is moving on and venturing into exciting new projects. With all the kids having flown the nest, it feels like the right time for change. We’re all leaving feeling proud and excited for what comes next.
To everyone who has visited, supported us, recommended us, laughed with us, or just popped in for a drink we want to say thank you. You helped make The Willows what it was.

Everything in the café is for sale: chairs, tables, shelving, our vintage Co-op display shelving unit, coffee machine, grinder, hot water heater, fridges, freezers, display cabinets and more. Items will be ready for collection on our closing weekend, 28th June. If you can’t make those dates but see something you’d like, come and speak to us at the bar.
Please note: purchased items will not be available for collection until Monday 29th June. Collection can be arranged between Monday 29th June and Friday 3rd July.
