Save the date! Halloween in Colne is BACK! 🤩

Colne Town Council’s Annual Halloween Event is returning to Colne Town Centre on Saturday 26th October bigger and better than ever before! This year’s event will transform the Town to join the wizarding world with a fantastic variety of Harry Potter themed entertainment and activities!🧙‍♂️

We have a fantastic array of attractions and entertainment galore with something for everyone including FREE Face Painting, FREE Craft Activities, FREE Potion Making, FREE Spell Casting, FREE Axe Throwing, FREE Owl Holding, FREE Caving Experience, FREE Inflatable Pole Joust, FREE Giant Games Area, FREE Comedy Magic Shows, FREE Punch & Judy, FREE Quidditch Training, FREE Broomstick Training, FREE Harry Potter Walkabout Acts handing out goodies, a FREE Wizard Trail, HUGE Halloween Market, Fun Fair Rides plus so much more! 😱

On top of all of this, we also have a fantastic range of entertainment live on stage including a Harry Potter Show, Live music from the brilliant Jess McGlinchey & a Harry Potter Magic Show with Scoop! 👏

Colne Town Council's Events Officer, Mr. Nathan Cutler, said, "Our Halloween event used to be one of our smallest events that we held but each year the event keeps getting bigger and bigger and we cannot wait for people to see what we have in store for them this year.”

“We have a lot of FREE activities as we want to gather the whole community together to enjoy a family day out without having to worry about the normal costs associated with a day out.”

⛔️Unfortunately, to allow for the event to take place we have a road closure in place on Market Street (from the Junction of Windy Bank) down to the traffic lights on Market Street. The road closure will be in place from 5am until approximately 9pm to allow for the event infrastructure to be installed and removed safely.

ADVANCE NOTICE! ⚠️

Due to the redevelopment of Colne Market and losing the majority of Parliament Street Car Park, we have been left with no option but to close to road to give us more space for the event to go ahead safely. The road will now become the home of various activities including FREE Axe Throwing, FREE Face Painting, a HUGE Hallowe'en Market, FREE Pole Joust, FREE Stage Entertainment, FREE Harry Potter Workshops plus so much more! 🤩

With us closing the road it means more people can come and enjoy a fantastic day out here in Colne. 👏

Market Street will be closed from the junction of Windy Bank down to the traffic lights outside of the Union Exchange! ⛔

☀️🌈 BRIGHOUSE SPRING MARKET ☀️🌈

📅 Sunday 28th Apri We will be welcoming both businesses in town and market stallholders to set up in the town centre and celebrate the start of spring.

Brighouse Spring Market is a place where you can discover hidden gems and find out more about the fantastic produce our town has to offer.

Over 70 independent food, drink and craft sellers will be set up on the streets.
Many of the town’s shops, cafes and pubs also opening specially for visitors looking to shop, enjoy and do.

We’ll also have some fun things to watch & do – including:

🥳 Wild Dance Fitness with dance displays outside Specsavers on Commercial Street
🎤Live Music outside The Flower Garden on Commercial Street with X-factor finalist Jack Walton
🪄 A Wandering Magician appearing around the town through the day
🏎 An Electric Car Rally on Bradford Road.
