Our 2026 season has come to an end, just in time before Storm Austen... powers? 🥸

A special thanks to Eug, Fiona and Clara who worked with us this year. These ladies are truly amazing and were the backbone of the business. Scooping rain or shine, through the school holiday craziness and quiet spring days they did it all and more 🌟

Thank you everyone that visited us, from tourists to locals and our regulars (you know who you are!) 🍦

We will see you again in April 2027, take it easy and we hope you all have a lovely winter 🩷

With stormy weather on the way Monday 19th October will be our last day open for the season so come and get one last scoop before we close ⛱️🍦

A seal pup has been seen in the vicinity of Calgary Bay, and others could come ashore anywhere around the coastline.They are grey seal pups and they do this whilst they are moulting. It takes a lot of energy at this time of their life. People should not approach them to try and get them back in the water as the stress could impact their survival. The area is being closely monitored and BDMLR are aware of its presence. It is a criminal offence to disturb seal pups.The advice is to keep a distance of over 100m and dogs on leads.

Rally users of Calgary
Please can we ask that if you are staying at the wild camping site at Calgary this year you respect it and the staff that help to run it. Friends of Calgary Bay is part of Mull and Iona Community Trust, a local charity,helping look after the Machair, the beach, the camping area and the toilets. Your donations means that the toilets can stay open all year and are cleaned regularly. Your donations are important and used 100% to look after the Bay Area and the toilets. It is not a free for all and to be abused as happened last year. Thank you for your support, please donate if you use the facilities and enjoy the rally.
