Another NEW ACT coming to The Woolpack!

We’re delighted to welcome John Waterston for his first night with us on Saturday 5th September, 7–10pm.

John is a top male vocalist covering hits from the 50’s right through to the present day, so there’ll be something for everyone.

Our last few live music nights have been absolutely brilliant — the atmosphere has been bouncing and, best of all, we’re getting amazing feedback from both the acts and you lot about the welcome and atmosphere at The Woolpack.

That’s exactly what we want — a wee country pub where everyone gets a good welcome, the acts love playing and you lot keep coming back for more!

So let’s give John a proper Woolpack welcome for his first time with us.

Leanne’s birthday is Thursday 27th August, but obviously one day devoted to her isn’t nearly enough for a woman who already thinks owning a pub makes her a local celebrity.

So Saturday 29th is officially Leanne’s birthday night out — and somehow she’s managed to prise open Andi’s wallet for the occasion.

Well… sort of.

He’s agreed to a FREE JUKEBOX.

We can only assume there’s been some sort of administrative error.

This is a man so fu***ng tight he could peel an orange in his pocket. So PLEASE come down and abuse this rare moment of generosity before he comes to his senses and starts charging 50p a song again.

As for the birthday girl, Leanne will no doubt spend the night swanning about like Beyoncé of Tillicoultry, accepting birthday drinks and reminding absolutely everyone within a five-mile radius that IT’S HER BIRTHDAY.

And then there’s the microphone…

Usually Andi gives her the remote control and lets her believe she’s contributing. But seeing as it’s her birthday night out, there’s a slim chance she might finally be allowed the actual microphone.

He might even turn the fu**er on (doubt it)

Although after hearing Leanne sing, you’ll quickly understand why Andi’s been keeping it switched off.

So come along for FREE JUKEBOX, questionable singing, an increasingly steaming Leanne and Andi standing behind the bar watching every free song take another tiny piece of his soul.

Festival day!

Finally managed to get Andi out the pub… although obviously the Woolpack body warmer had to come with us. Can take the man out the Woolpack, but apparently you can’t take the Woolpack out the man.

And that smile? 100% fake. He’s just paid £18 for two ciders and is still trying to process the trauma.

Thoughts and prayers for the tightest man in Tillicoultry at this difficult time.

Pilfer Peach Lager is BACK on the bar!

We actually had it on last week… but you lot drank the bloody thing dry within a day and a half before Leanne even got the chance to write one of her world-famous witty Facebook posts about it.

Absolutely no consideration for the marketing department whatsoever.

So, take two — it’s back, it’s cold, it’s peachy and this time Leanne has managed to get the post up before you greedy buggers empty the barrel.

Get in quick… apparently we can’t trust you lot.

One day to go. On Wed 19th we'll gather from 7pm at The Woolpack Inn and share tellings on the theme of 'Hero/Heroine' from 7:30pm.

You'll find us in the wee snug on the left as you come in, why not coorie-in with us for some stories, poems and anecdotes.

All welcome, and no need to tell- many simply listen.

Back to school they go!

Wishing all the kids heading back today a brilliant first day — and an extra big good luck to all the wee ones starting school for the very first time.

We’re delighted to have the amazing Sara McCrorie making her first ever appearance at The Woolpack, live from 7pm–10pm. If you’ve heard her sing before, you’ll know just how good she is. If you haven’t… you’re in for a treat!

Get yourselves in early, grab a drink and make a night of it.

Then keep the good times going all weekend as we’ll be showing live sport throughout the weekend, so there’s plenty of reasons to pop in.
