Well folks, it is 'FIRKIN FRIDAY' again and we have 5 glorious firkins of fine ale for you to enjoy ... Fresh on today following a few days off the bar whilst it conditioned is a firm favourite here at the Stag & Scotch ...

Rutting Blonde is an award winning, very pale brilliant blonde b**r has citrus and summer fruit aromas making it an extremely refreshing and ‘easy drinking’ ale.

A busy morning at the Stag & Scotch today with no fewer than 18 Casks & Kegs arriving down the cellar....

Today we feature one of my personal favourite breweries, Nottingham based Pheasantry Brewery.

So from dropping them down the hatch today they will spend some time adjusting to their new constant 12 degrees cellar temperature, we will leave them for a period of time, then from here we will decide when to rack, vent, tap and secondary condition them (tasting as we go) until they are just right for hand drawing from our downstairs cellar onto the bar top....

And in true 'Del Monte' style, only when the man from the Stag & Scotch says 'Yes' do we bring them up for you to enjoy!

Mike Wilton is best known as the frontman/songwriter of 'The Standard Lamps'.
The Lamps released two albums and went on to support such likes of The Who, The Pretty Things and The Bluetones to mention a few.

The Lamps took a break in 2017, but Mike has continued to create with 3 solo albums to his name.

Mike's songs can be described as mixture of Blues and Rock with a British subject matter.

Weighing in at a sessionable 4.5%abv this Irish IPA has grapefruit aroma with a hint of passion fruit, pine and citrus to give a fruity tropical burst to the taste buds.

Supercharged with dry hops and brewed with hoppy fusions to add a slight bitter finish, this powerful IPA distinguishes from the rest, for a b**r you will remember with full flavour and a great aroma.

Why not pop down today and pair it with a chunk of cheese from our FREE SUNDAY CHEESEBOARD....

We are delighted to announce that for our first eligible year we have made it into the CAMRA GOOD B**R GUIDE for 2027!!

This is awarded to pubs that consistently keep high quality cask ales, so for that, we thank you for keeping the pulls pulling and the b**r flowing, which helps us hugely to have great b**r at all times...

This alongside our attention to detail with clean lines, clean cellar, and secondary conditioning of our b**rs means that the CAMRA members voted throughout the year and found that our b**r was good enough to make the guide!...

Thanks also to the team that work with me to ensure that we hand pull top quality b**r from our cellar onto the bar top, serving it with pride and a smile, knowing that you ar going to enjoy it!
